JEEP FOR SHOWS AND PARADES"
MUSEUM QUALITY This is a true frame up restoration. We are the first
and only owner since the restoration. The Jeep has only 31 miles on it.
Ever piece came off and was meticulously cleaned, repaired or replaced.
Major components were professionally rebuilt. Canvas is correct for color
and weight, seats have the correct padding and zippers as it was in 1942.
The tires are Ford Script from Coker Tire. DOT 3 was used in the brake
system. The master cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders are all new.
The brake drums have been turned and all new brake shoes/linings were
installed.
Equipment and other Parts for the 1942 Ford GPW. *Note: These are all
either correct parts, NOS or true replicas. · New Spare 5 gallon
Jerry Can · Jerry Can Holder for Mounting · Pair of Door
Curtains · Canvas Top · Fire Extinguisher · Vintage
Tool Kit, 95% complete, only missing the tire chains and the Barcalo Buffalo
open end wrench No. 273. · $300 of Decals and Lettering
The engine (No. GPW56616 was professionally rebuilt. New hardened valve
seats make using unleaded gas no problem. Cylinders were re-sleeved back
to standard, as a result the engine sounds and runs like new. The engine
has a written guarantee three years transferable to the owner. There are
no electrical or starting issues.
Everything under the hood looks great as you can see in the pictures.
Correct "F" marked fuel filter, correct decal air cleaner, correct
oil filter canister, correct "F" marked head bolts, exhaust
and intake manifolds, radiator cap and marked hoses. The GPW frame No.
35548 was sandblasted to bare metal, professionally repaired, NOS front
"F" marked cross member installed. Front and Rear Axels have
all new seals and bearings. New springs and shock absorbers make this
the sweetest riding jeep one has ever driven.
Painted the correct color of No. 33070, Early WWII Lusterless Olive Drab
that Ford used. Original Tire Pump, Ford marked Engine CrankThis Jeep
would thrill any enthusiast. Manuals and other books related to these
jeeps are available. If you are interested in owning the GPW for the driving
pleasure, this one truly drives like a dream, it starts up right away
and shifts very smoothly. If you are interested in the shows, this one
would outdo most jeeps out there. This Jeep should really be in parades
and could be shown off as much as you wanted. It will definitely turns

Engine rebuilt several years ago, before the restoration. This jeep has
been restored as an 1942 Willys Slate Grill. It does have some GPW parts

These jeeps are a gem. The 57 is a civilian issue extremely rare hard
top edition completely original. Custom made tow bumper, hunters special
with gun racks. The 47 was purchased as a parts vehicle but also runs,
it is military issue.

comments For Sale - 1943 WWII Willy's Jeep and trailer. Runs great, ready
to drive. Was restored to original condition 10 years ago, frame off.
Needs paint touched up and seat cushions replaced. Must see!
Comes with the following: Original combat wheels; new tires; hand pump;
engine crank; radio antenna-extensions missing; 2 original jerry cans;
tow bar; fire extinguisher; blackout lights; gun mount for windshield;
pick ax; shovel-all original. Under the hood is all original-nothing missing.
Also have a box of misc. parts-guages, hose clamps, etc.
Every barring, seal, bushing, nut, bolt, washer has been replaced or restored.
Engine-New main berrings. Had it rebuilt at a professional shop. Axels
and tranny all gone through. This jeep has been sitting in the weather
for 5 years. Canvas top is present but if intending to accomplish full
restoration I'd recommend replacing all canvas and windshield rubber.
This is a perfect vehicle for someone interested in restoring without
having to do mechanical work. I paint cars for a living; the body's rust
has been completely removed and new metal has been welded in place; wood
bracing has also been replaced with heavier tube metal, side steps, fenders,
etc. There are a few dings/dents but all metal is there.
If you'd prefer to purchase the vehicle fully restored, I am asking $15,000.
Or, if you'd rather enjoy the restoration project, then my asking price
is $10,000 or best offer. Either price includes the trailer unrestored.
Right now it's hard times and money talks. Have photo album of full restoration
of vehicle in 2003.
